COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities linemen who went down south to help restore power following Hurricane Helene are back home.
CBPU linemen Sean Guzy, Jeff Stanton, Bryce Withington and Brent Somerlott along with two bucket trucks left two weeks ago for Tallahassee, Florida.
After they were dismissed from northern Florida, they were dispatched to Greer, South Carolina to restore power in that devastated area.
They were among mutual aid crews from 17 states that helped in the power restoration efforts. As of last Friday night, repairs were finalized to the electric system in Greer and nearly all customers were back on line.
A special thank you to these Coldwater linemen who ran to the storm to help their fellow Americans. I salute these men and they represent the American spirit that we don’t see much of these days.
