BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The City of Bronson will start flushing fire hydrants on Monday, October 21 as part of the regular routine of cleaning water mains.
The flushing will begin 12:01 a.m. on Monday the 21st for the Eastern portion of the City.
Hydrants on the west side will be flushed starting at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday morning October 22.
If additional time is needed, flushing will continue October 23 at 12:01 a.m..
The City apologizes for any inconveniences the flushing may cause.
On occasion, the water in the areas of flushing may temporarily have a reddish/orange rusty appearance as flushing can disturb iron sediment in the water pipes and cause the discoloration.
If this occurs, run your cold water at the tap closest to your water meter for several minutes to clear your lines.
The City advises the public to refrain from doing laundry during the two days of the flushing.
