COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Downtown Development Authority gave City Manager Keith Baker permission Wednesday to draft an agreement with the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce that would pay Bob Harris Services $1,000 a month for six months.
Harris has made a couple of presentations to the D.D.A. on new ideas and incentives to attract businesses to the downtown area. He has called it a road map for reinventing downtown Coldwater retailing.
Baker pointed out if the pay was an hourly rate, it would be very low. But it would help compensate Harris for his time and encourage him to continue.
Chamber Director Nichole Steel says Harris has been doing work for the city despite being recently hospitalized.
Harris is a retired C.E.O. for Alliance Foods Group.
