Four nurses at Community Health Center of Branch County were recently honored with the DAISY Award® for Extraordinary Nurses from the DAISY Foundation.
The award celebrates nurses who provide extraordinary compassionate and skillful care every day.
Honored were Wendy Case, Lisa Kirk, Deb Rogers and Amy Thomas.
They received a certificate commending them for being an “Extraordinary Nurse” as well as a special sculpture called “A Healer’s Touch”, hand-carved by artists in Africa.The Foundation is based in Glen Ellen, California.
It was established by family members in memory of J. Patrick Barnes who died at the age of 33 in 1999 from complications of ITP. (Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura)
