COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The second of two suspects charged in connection with the July 1 breaking and entering of a home in the 1000 block of State Line Road near Ray was sent back to prison on Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
50-year-old Ricky Dale Cox II was ordered to serve concurrent sentences of 23 months to 10 years in the Michigan Department of Correction after entering no contest pleas to Breaking and Entering with intent and Possession of Controlled Substances.
A second Possession of Controlled Substances count was dismissed in exchange for the pleas.
47-year-old co-defendant Robin Lee Stenger was recently given the same prison sentence after she also entered no contest pleas to Breaking and Entering with intent and possession of methamphetamine.
Stenger was given credit for 97 days in jail. In exchange for her pleas, Prosecutors dismissed three case files which contained charges of possession of a controlled substance, carrying a concealed weapon and absconding from bond.
Stenger and Cox were arrested a day after the break in when they were found living out of a camper in the area of Willowbrook Road and White Drive.
Cox was sent to prison in May of 2019 for at least 23 months and ordered to pay over $36,000 in restitution for his involvement in a number of BB gun incidents in Coldwater and Quincy.
Cox entered no contest pleas in three criminal cases. He had been out on parole since January of 2021.
