COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater picked up a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Marshall on Senior Night at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium. The Cardinals took the first two sets by identical 25-22 scores before the Redhawks came back to take the next two sets 25-22 and 25-20. That set up a dramatic fifth set, won by Coldwater 15-13.

Head Coach Kelsey Closson said after the match, “We would love to honor and congratulate our 3 amazing seniors: Ellianna Foley, Ta’Vaiyah Hughes, and Ava Longstreet. These three are amazing teammates who are not only great players but are great humans and role models for our younger athletes.”
The Cardinals improved to 20-8-3 overall, 5-1 in the Interstate 8, and earned the #2 seed for Saturday’s league tournament at Hastings.

The underclassman matches were split. Coldwater won the JV match 25-20, 25-15.
Marshall won the freshman match 22-25, 25-15, 17-15.
