COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Organizers of Saturday night’s Coldwater Halloween Parade are offering a friendly reminder to those watching the parade to make sure your children stay behind the solid white parking line along the side of U.S. 12.
There were times during last year’s parade when children and some adults ventured almost to the middle of U.S. 12 and got to close to the parade units as they looked for the free candy that was being passed out.
Organizers say those who head out into the road might get hurt by the entries and obviously nobody wants that.
Those in the parade are being asked to distribute candy along the side of the road and don’t throw it from the floats.
Saturday’s parade starts at the corner of the U.S. 12 and Hudson Street at 7:30 p.m.. It will head west through the downtown area before ending at Pierson Street.
