COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Grand Opening of the new splash park at Heritage Park is scheduled to take place next Friday afternoon at 5:00 p.m.
The park is being made possible thanks a pair of large donations from the two Coldwater Rotary Clubs. The Noon Rotary and Sunrise Rotary Club each committed $75,000 toward the development of the splash park.
The project is designed to help fill the void left with the closure of the Heritage Park swimming pool which was shut down after the opening of the Robert W. Browne Aquatic Center in Coldwater.
The Coldwater Recreation Department will pick three youngsters at random to push the buttons that will activate the splash park next Friday.
The splash park will be free. Hours will initially be from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
