COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Over 1,000 eligible Branch County voters cast their ballots this weekend as early in person voting for the November 5 election got underway.
Early in person voting for all of the Branch County precincts is once again taking place at the Dearth Community Center in Coldwater.
There were 572 voters on Saturday and another 499 voters on Sunday.
This after there was an average of 50 voters a day for the August primary.
Early in person voting will take place at the Dearth Center through next Sunday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. daily.
Branch County voters can cast ballots at their own precincts on November 5.
Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson says over 145,000 early in person ballots were cast statewide on Saturday. Early in person voting started around the state on Saturday. It started in the City of Detroit on October 19.
