COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Instead of celebrating the holiday season this year, more and more Branch County residents will be mourning the loss of loved ones after they tested positive for COVID-19.
The Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency issued another heartbreaking report on Monday which showed that there were seven more COVID-19 related deaths reported in Branch County over the last three days.
That brought Branch County’s death toll up to 45 which is the highest of three counties in the agency’s jurisdiction. Since November 4, there have been 32 COVID-19 related deaths in Branch County.
Hillsdale County has had 44 deaths so far during the pandemic while 37 have died in St. Joseph County.
The C.H.A. also reported 84 new Branch County cases over the last three days bringing the total number of Branch County cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began last March up to 2,348.
