BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Community School Board of Education voted 5-2 on Monday night not to buy a new school bus for the district at this time.
The vote came after a nearly 20 minute discussion as board members debated whether or not to purchase the bus which was already in this year’s budget or save funds for what maybe an uncertain financial future.
In other business, the board accepted with regret the retirement of high school social studies teacher Don Hicks.
Hicks retirement is effective on December 31.
He has worked in the Bronson School District since August of 1987.
