BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The search to find the next Bronson School District Superintendent is well underway.
Teresa Belote is leaving the district after she was hired last month to become the new Superintendent of the St. Joseph County Intermediate School District.
Belote has been the Bronson Superintendent since 2014. She will take over for Barbara Marshall who is retiring from the St. Joseph County I.S.D. on June 1st.
The Bronson Superintendents job will be posted through the Michigan Association of School Boards until Friday.
There have been at least 15 applicants for the job. A search committee set up by the Bronson School Board has been gathering input from students, staff and community members.
Belote is presently dividing her time between the two districts and she has promised to stay at least part of the time in Bronson until a new superintendent is hired. A tentative time line calls for the new superintendent to be in place by the middle of July.
