Linda Sue Bacon, 73, of Coldwater Lake, Coldwater, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side after an extended illness.
Following her wishes private family services will be held.
She was born in Decatur, Indiana January 6, 1951 to the late Gerald R. and Marjorie E. (Meyer) Geimer.
She graduated from Bellmont High School in 1969.
Linda formerly worked at Kmart and 2 Brother’s Restaurant in Decatur, Indiana.
She married Samuel L. Bacon October 3, 1969 in Decatur, Indiana, just recently celebrating their 55th year of marriage.
Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards with her cousins and having family get-togethers at the lake. She was happiest with her grandchildren on her lap and her dog Katie next to her.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel L. Bacon of Coldwater Lake, Michigan, daughter, Tracy L. Bacon of Osceola, Indiana, son, Samuel J. (Rachel) Bacon of Indianapolis, Indiana, grandchildren, Evelyn Grace, Clare Veronica, and Isaac Jude, siblings, Patricia A. (Mike) Lengerich of Decatur, Indiana, Dennis E. (Barbara) Geimer of Bluffton, South Carolina, Phillip R. (Linda) Geimer of Bradenton, Florida, and Matthew F. Geimer and Jana (Tim) Walchle, both of Decatur, Indiana, and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a grandson, August Milton Bacon, a brother David A. Geimer, a sister, Anna Marie Geimer, a niece, Natasha Bentz, nephews, Brandon Bentz, and Mattheu Walchle, mother and father-in-law, Dorothy P. (Wenger) and Samuel A. Bacon, brother and sister in-law, Ronald K. Bacon and Virginia “Joann” Bacon.
Memorial donations in her memory may be directed to Elara Caring Hospice, or Riley Hospital for Children.
