COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Planning Commission discussed possible changes regarding the city’s Zoning Ordinance for temporary and downtown signs during their Monday night meeting
City officials have been told by consultants from McKenna and Associates that modifications to regulations pertaining to those types of signs were in need of review.
City Manager Keith Baker told the Planning Commission they had been planning to do this after recent Supreme Court rulings.
Senior Planner Kyle Mucha from McKenna said for now they wanted to focus on temporary signs.
After about a half hour discussion, the Planning Commission asked for samples and information on what other communities are doing.
They are expected to get further information when they meet after the first of the year.
