COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Because of numerous concerns that have been raised, Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker told the 911 Communications Board on Wednesday morning that he will bring a resolution to the Coldwater City Council asking County Commissioners to delay action on a proposed 911 service plan.
Baker plans to present the resolution to the City Council next Monday night.
Baker was supported by Rodney Bailey from the Village of Quincy.

A committee of 911 board members was also formed after a number of issues were raised by board members.
Consultant Kevin Kearns of Seattle’s IXP Corporation was hired by the county to review the 911 Dispatch operations and to make recommendations to county officials.
A public hearing on the proposed service plan has been scheduled for the County Commissioners meeting on December 22.
