COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Quincy and Coldwater split a high school softball non-conference doubleheader Thursday night. The Orioles won the opener 4-0 before the Cardinals rallied for a 5-4 win the nightcap.
Winning pitcher Hannah Economou tossed a three hitter in the first game. Kelsie Mainstone had two hits and two RBI’s for Quincy. Mikayla Signor and Kaitlyn Newberry both had two hits.
Coldwater won the second game thanks to a three run sixth. Winning pitcher Darlene Horn had two hits and an RBI. Tyler Scheid and Samantha Rodesiler both had doubles for the Cardinals. Economou belted a two run homer in the nightcap for Quincy. Meghan Kirt also had two RBI’s. Taylor Todd, Economou and Signor all had two hits.
Quincy and Coldwater also split in the junior varsity doubleheader. Quincy won the opener 16-10 while Coldwater won the second game 12-10.

Adyson Lasky was the winning pitcher in both games. She tossed a four hitter and struck out seven in the second game. Aubrey Ballou pitched three innings in the first game to earn the save. Scyler Cary had three hits in the first game while Allie Sikorski had two doubles and four RBI’s.
Payton Robinson homered and drove in four runs in the second game while Sikorski had three hits.
Bronson is now 15-8 overall and 7-1 in the BCS.
