Harley Jacob Millard, 32, of Valparaiso, Indiana formerly of Coldwater, Michigan passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024 following a three-year battle with carcinoma of the kidneys.
He was born June 11, 1992, to Scott and Pippa (Luke) Millard, graduated from Coldwater High School, and attended Grand Valley State University.
Harley enlisted with the U. S. Marines then re-upped with the U.S. Army where he trained and served proudly as a sniper with tours of duty in Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Japan and Australia.
Given the gravity of his profession, it would stand to reason that his closest family and friends unhesitatingly refer to him as dependable and protective. Knowing that he was also a jokester who liked to find the humor in life reveals the warm heart and loving spirit that dwelt within him.
October 18, 2014, he married Etana Allard who survives along with their 8-month-old daughter, Azalea Millard, parents, Scott and Pippa Millard of Coldwater, MI, sister, Sarah (Corbin) Sanford of Coldwater, MI, grandparents, Kay Luke, Marvin Luke, Carolyn (Bruce) Grunwald, sister-in-law, Emelia Allard, brother-in-law, Ethan (Kourtney) Allard, aunt & uncle, Anita & Alan Green, nieces: Violet, Scarlett & Lylah, and soon to be nephew, Eddie.
He was preceded in death by one grandfather, Londean Millard, mother-in-law, Barbara Gillon, father-in-law, Ray Allard and uncle, Gregory Luke.
Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory a private family celebration of Harley’s life will be held.
