Jane was born August 18, 1925 to Russell and Lucille (Stevens) Thomas in Coldwater. Jane Graduated from Coldwater High School in 1944. Jane later married Clinton C. Neusbaum August 3, 1947 in Coldwater.
She worked at the telephone company as a switchboard operator and spent many years working at the Branch County Drain Commission Office in the Courthouse where she later retired in 1989.
Jane also was Co-Owner of Clint’s Meat Processing with Clinton where she was actually “The Boss” and loved every minute of it.
Jane’s number one priority in life was her family. She may have been small in stature but tall and mighty in personality. When she spoke her whole family straightened up and listened. She had the biggest giving spirit that no one could match. Jane’s strength and determination will live on in all of her family members.
She will be remembered for her strong will, stubbornness, feistiness, kindness & ability to love and care for her family no matter the circumstances.
Jane was the salt of the earth kind of Lady. She worked hard and never stopped until the job was done.
If you had Jane as a friend, you had her for life, she was a very loyal and true friend.
Jane loved to keep busy with her many hobbies, especially collecting vintage paper dolls, vintage Barbie dolls, and so many other collectibles. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and working on family genealogy.
But most of all, Jane was in her element when any family member(s) would sit with her so she could recite and share her stories with them about her family’s history.
Jane went by many names. Momma, Mom, Nannie, Grandma, GiGi. All names acquired by her many loving family members.
Jane is survived by her children Gary (Penny) Neusbaum of Coldwater; Craig (Chris) Neusbaum of Coldwater; Pamela Fischer of Virginia; Sally (Brian) Hasty of Tekonsha; Sister Kay Thomas of Coldwater; 12 Grandchildren; 22 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
