BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – There will be a changing of the guard in Branch County government when the new year rolls in.
Frank Walsh will take over as County Administrator. Fred Blankenship will take over as Sheriff, Jason Bingaman will be the new Undersheriff and Todd Riley will be the Jail Administrator.
Rick Hollister will join the Branch County Board of Commissioners.
Current Administrator Bud Norman will be retiring after over 18 years with the County. Sheriff John Pollack will be retiring after 12 years as the Sheriff and about 24 additional years as an Undersheriff, Sergeant and Deputy.
Undersheriff Keith Eichler will be retiring after about 24 years. Tom Matthew will be leaving his position after over five years as a County Commissioner.
Additionally Carl Sevidal, who serves as the security officer in the front of the courthouse and as Ballif will be retiring after almost 30 years.
