COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A three day jury trial for a Union City man who is facing multiple criminal sexual conduct charges got underway with jury selection Tuesday morning in Branch County Circuit Court.
40-year-old Jamie Lynn Coyle is facing nine charges including three counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct and five second degree counts.
Branch County Prosecutors filed the charges against Coyle in connection with alleged sexual incidents involving a young teenage girl last June.
Coyle was arrested following a Michigan State Police investigation. He was being held in the Branch County Jail without bond pending his trial.
Given his past criminal history, Coyle will be looking at a sentencing enhancement as an habitual offender if he is convicted.
