COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker told the Coldwater City Council on Monday that work is now scheduled to start on Tuesday, May 30, on the Grand and Church Street reconstruction project.
Baker said the date was pushed back after he had initially reported to the Council that the project would start next Monday, May 15th.
Milbocker & Sons Construction of Allegan, Michigan will be the general contractor on the $1.4 million project.
Baker says the road will be closed to through traffic for the duration of the three month project. Detours will be posted.
Besides the reconstruction of the street, the project includes the replacement of water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer lines. There will also be repairs to the curbs, gutters and sidewalks.
It is hoped the work will be substantially completed by August.
