COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In high school track and field action that was postponed form Tuesday, Coldwater split an Interstate 8 Conference meet with Parma Western Wednesday night at Cardinal Field. The Cardinals won the boys meet 93-70. Parma Western won the girls meet 92-71.
Coldwater winners in the boys meet were Matt Gipple in the 100, Adam Bailey in the 200 and 300 hurdles, Shuaib Aljabaly in the 800 and the 1600, Jacob Fair in the 3200, Connor Covert in the shot put and discus, Hamza Muflihi in the pole vault and Jaden Coney in the long jump. Coldwater won the 800 and 3200 relays.
Coldwater winners in the girls meet were Kathy Potter in the 800 and 3200, Elka Machan in the 1600, Jasmine Wellet in the 100 hurdles, Kaci White in the shot put and Malorie Rzepka in the high jump. Coldwater won the 400 and the 800 relays.
The teams run at the Onsted Invitational Friday.
