QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – A major water line renovation and construction project got underway in Quincy Monday as crews began the milling of East Jefferson Street and Grove Street.
Jefferson Street is closed which means that the drop-off point for Quincy students at the new gym is not open.
Students can still be dropped off on the northbound side of Fulton Street and in the middle school parking lot.
Hoffman Brothers of Battle Creek is replacing 123 year old water mains with 3,100 feet of 12 and eight inch water mains.
There will also be associated road work and the South Main Lift Station will also be replaced.
The project is being made possible thanks to a $1 million Michigan Economic Development Corporation grant that was awarded to Quincy last September.
