COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Police say the suspect has been identified in the social media post that caused the closing of Pansophia Academy and charges are likely to be filed against the teen.
The police department received a tip about the threatening post late Tuesday evening and notified Pansophia Academy officials.
The police department immediately began their investigation and provided updates throughout the night. Out of caution, Principal Ryan Tomlinson says they felt it was necessary to close the school Wednesday while the investigation continued.
Police say they determined the suspect did not have a weapon and no students or staff are in danger. The school is expected to open Thursday.
