F. Duane Trout, 89, of Coldwater passed away surrounded by his loving family Friday, December 20, 2024 at Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Angola, IN.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home.
Duane was born June 19, 1935, to Floyd A. and Beulah (Todd) Trout in Barberton, OH. He married Daisy Belle Larch October 17, 1953 in Barberton, OH and they spent 71 happy years together.
Floyd graduated from Doylestown High School in Ohio, and went on to Ashland College to complete his undergrad. After he graduated from Ashland, he graduated from the University of Michigan in 1958 with his Masters in Business Administration. After receiving his MBA, he went on to Stanford University in California.
Mr. Trout worked in business management for many companies including MEAD Corporation in Ohio, Warner and Swasey in Cleveland, Ohio, Allis Challmers in Wisconsin, owned and managed Lake Castings Foundry in Sandusky, Ohio, and ended his career managing the The Neurology Center in Coldwater, retiring at
age 84 in 2019.
Floyd was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Coldwater. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling. Floyd always claimed his biggest accomplishment was his family, and loved spending time with them.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Daisy Trout; his children Jennifer (Dennis) Dafnis of Fremont, IN, Jeffrey Trout of Angola, IN, Gretchen Trout of Tallmadge, OH; his grandchildren Photini, Costantinos, Jason, Alexander, Phoebe, Nichole, Erica, Jeffrey, Blaine, Victoria, Abigail, Amber; many great grandchildren, and one expected in August; and several nieces and nephews.
Floyd was preceded in death by his son Todd Trout and his sister Waveline Starnes.
