UNDATED (WTVB) – The National Weather Service says significant river flooding is possible this weekend and early next week as heavy rain is expected to fall.
Forecasters say widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms this weekend are expected to result in one to two inches of rain east of I-69, with two to three inches to the west.
This may be sufficient to cause significant river flooding to develop in our area over the weekend and early next week.
People who live or routinely travel near rivers and streams in the area should monitor the latest weather forecasts over the next few days for possible river flood watches and warnings.
