LITCHFIELD, MI (WTVB) – A company based in Litchfield will be getting a $300,000 Michigan Business Development Program grant to help them update technologies.
Hi-Lex Controls supplies window closure systems for the automotive industry.
They plan to expand operations in Litchfield with a $26.7 investment. It’s hoped the expansion will lead to 76 new jobs.
The project was chosen for Michigan over a competing site in Mexico.
The State of Michigan announced Wednesday that seven projects had been chosen to get support from the Michigan Strategic Fund.
Officials said the projects will generate over $43 million in capital investment and create 259 jobs around the state.
