PARMA, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school softball Tuesday, Coldwater dropped both ends of an Interstate 8 doubleheader to Parma Western by scores of 11-1 and 12-2. Coldwater was held to two hits in the opener and three hits in the second game.
Drue Mullin and Darlene Horn both had doubles in the nightcap. Coldwater is now 4-2 in the conference and 8-5 overall.
Quincy won a pair of one run games as they swept a Big 8 Conference doubleheader from Union City by scores of 3-2 and 6-5. Hannah Economou and Kelsie Mainstone were the winning pitchers. Zoe Aseltine drove in a pair of runs in the opener while Katie Newberry had three hits in the second game.
Haley Rivard doubled for the Chargers in the first game. Union City stranded 13 runners in the nightcap. Autumn Carpenter had three hits including a double. Alison Adams and Rivard also doubled.
