Martha Ann Avra, 94 of Coldwater, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility.
Visitation for Martha will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
A funeral service will be held Friday, January 10, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Interment will follow the service at Fisher Hill Cemetery.
Martha was born November 3, 1930 to Paul and Gladys (St. John) Thornburg in Union City, OH. October 4, 1947, Martha married Everett V. Avra in Union City, OH and he preceded her in death April 28, 1972.
She attended Union Church in Quincy.
Martha worked at Acorn Building Components for 15 years and then began working as the bookkeeper for the family businesses until she retired in 2007.
She enjoyed growing flowers and feeding the birds. She cherished and loved her family, especially her grandchildren.
Martha leaves behind her children Keith (Holly Warner) Avra of Quincy, Judy (Bruce) Hauska of Coldwater, Billie (Shelley) Avra of Quincy; her daughters-in-law
Karen Avra of Coldwater, Linda Avra of Quincy, Josephine (Bruce) Zimmerman of Quincy; her 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren and her many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Everett Avra, Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her sons Lonnie Avra, Ronnie Avra, Randy Avra, Freddie Avra; her granddaughters Tamara Avra and Elaina Kay Wood; and her brother and two sisters.
