COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A representative from a Fort Wayne accounting firm presented a mostly positive audit report for 2015 and 2016 to the Community Health Center of Branch County Board of Trustees Monday night.
BKD Managing Director Mark Blessing said it a successful and efficient audit.
He said the hospital’s net position increased during 2016 primarily due to excess of revenue over expenses of over $2.1 million.
The report also indicated the hospital’s total operating revenue decreased by over $739,000 last year when compared to 2015 primarily because of significant decreases in inpatient volumns.
On another matter, Hospital President and CEO Randy DeGroot reported to the board that the hospital was awarded an A rating for safety for the sixth straight year by the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Guide.
