Maynard Ramsey Harris, 69, of Coldwater passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
The family will receive guests for visitation that morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Maynard was born March 5, 1955, to Maynard and Loretta (Guernsey) Harris in Kalamazoo, MI. Maynard was a graduate of Gull Lake High School and on February 18, 1989, he married the love of his life Jayne M. Sikorski in Richland, MI and she survives.
Maynard was a man dedicated to the principle and values of hard work; co-founding the family business – Extreme Exterminating – with his son, he owned and operated the company until his retirement after many years of service.
Knowing also to take the time to enjoy life, Maynard liked Western and Sci-fi movies, playing cards, and croquet. He was an avid outdoorsman where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping; but his greatest catch in life was his wife Jayne and the family they built together.
Maynard was second to none as a devoted husband and a man that cherished his family above all else.
In addition to his wife Jayne Harris of Coldwater, Maynard leaves behind his children Matthew Thomas (Candi) Harris of Bellevue, MI, Tyler Ramsey (Janelle) Harris of Allen, MI, Abigail Marie Harris, Gabrielle Allyson Harris both of Coldwater, MI, Jacqueline Ann (Matthew) Terrill of Parchment, MI, Matthew William Harris of CA, Charles Austin Harris of Delton, MI, Morgan Lenora (Jesse) Wieland of TX; his siblings Nancy Conner of Attica, MI, Barbara Gibbs of Richland, MI, George (Cindy) Harris of Port Ludlow, WA, Pamela (Ted) Sweet of Fountain Hills, AZ, Letty (Ron) Block of Mattawan, MI; his mother-in-law Clara Mae Sikorski of Coldwater, MI; his sisters-in-law Rebecca (Kevin) Rocho of Boiling Springs, SC, Angeline Sikorski of Huntertown, IN; his grandchildren Henry, Meredith, Valerie, Tyler Jr., James, Lucas, Nora, Gillian, Kaleb, Dillan, Vanessa, Lincoln, Mason, Cooper, Barrett, Claire; and his many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, his father-in-law Gordon Sikorski, his brothers-in-law Anthony Sikorski, John Conner, Dan Gibbs, and his niece Angie Gibbs.
