CENTREVILLE, MI (WTVB) – Bronson Community Schools Superintendent Teresa Belote was chosen Wednesday night to become the next Superintendent of the St. Joseph County Intermediate School District.
Belote was selected on a 5-0 vote during a special meeting of the district’s Board of Education.
She along with Union City School Superintendent Patrick Kreger were the final two candidates interviewed by a search committee Monday night.
The position was posted in January after current Superintendent Barbara Marshall announced she would be retiring June 1, 2017.
Belote and Kreger were among 18 applicants for the job.
It’s not known when Belote would start her new position as contract negotiations are just getting underway.
Belote has been the Bronson Superintendent since 2014.
The board decided to forego site visits and offer the position to Belote Wednesday
