SHERWOOD TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – One of three persons who were injured in a December 20 head on crash on M-60 near Stanton Road has died from his injuries.
An obituary announcement from Lighthouse Funeral and Cremation in Union City said 87-year-old Lewis Marvin of Union City passed away last Thursday.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Department said at the time of the crash that it happened shortly before 6:00 a.m. on December 20 as a eastbound vehicle driven by 50-year-old Trudy Johnson of Battle Creek crossed the centerline and hit Marvin’s vehicle head-on.
Both vehicles had major front-end damage and were towed from the scene. Johnson, Marvin, and a passenger in his vehicle, 80-year-old Dian Marvin, were all injured and transported to Bronson Hospital by LifeCare Ambulance.
A memorial service for Lewis Marvin will be held at a later date, once his wife recovers from her injuries from the crash.
