ATHENS TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police Troopers from the Marshall Post are looking for a driver that hit another vehicle in Athens Township on Monday night and then took off.
They say the hit-and-run incident took place at about 7:50 p.m. on M-66 near Q Drive South.
Troopers were able to recover vehicle parts from the suspect’s vehicle that fled the scene.
State Police said initially they were searching for a vehicle described as a red or maroon colored Jeep Gladiator, model years 2018 to 2024. The suspect vehicle is missing the driver’s side mirror.
But surveillance footage shows the suspect vehicle was a white Jeep Gladiator with black rims and a sticker on the right side of the rear window. The vehicle was last seen westbound on H Drive S from M-66 at about 7:55 p.m..
