BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy boys bowling team defeated Burr Oak 17-13 on Monday afternoon at Midway Lanes while Bronson swept Schoolcraft at the Bronson Strike Zone.
Both teams battles through a sluggish start with Burr Oak taking game one, 138-136. It was much the same in game two as the Orioles struggled with five open frames as they dropped the game 167-150.
Four Orioles tallied points in game one of singles action. Brody Carroll split the lead off spot with Freshman Allyson Janssen to finish with a 116 and getting the first point.
Conner Stetler shot 150, Tyler White 170, and Ethan Janssen led all bowlers on the night with a 218.
Drew Carlisle added 180 to the team total as Quincy cruised 834-690.
In game two, Carroll notched a point with a 154 game while Stetler dropped 138, and Carlisle a 188. White chipped in with a 149.
It all came down to the final frame as Janssen hung with Burr Oaks hot handed anchor who left a few while Quincy went on to win 834-798.
Both of the Bronson teams defeated Schoolcraft 23-7. No details were provided.
