BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson City Council approved a six year Capital Improvement Plan during their meeting on Monday night.
The Bronson Planning Commission recommended the plan which runs from this year through 2031 be approved by the City Council during their meeting last Thursday.
City Manager Brandon Mersman says the Capital Improvement Plan is intended to be used by City officials as a guide for the future planning of capital projects across all City departments and assets.
Mersman said it’s a critical tool in implementing the updated Master Plan by connecting planning efforts with budgeting for capital projects.
He detailed some possible future capital projects.
According to Mersman, an updated Capital Improvement Plan is the final step before the City can receive Redevelopment Ready Communities certification.
