QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school soccer Tuesday, Quincy topped Lenawee Christian 5-1.Quincy started the scoring with a Kati Rathbun goal 15 minutes in the game. Lenawee would tie the game just before the end of the first half.
Payton Hines scored twice in the second half to open up a 3-1 lead. Emilly Hollenbaugh added a goal off a corner kick and Hannah Kaser got a late goal with six minutes left. Cailyn Cook had 9 saves in goal. Quincy’s record is now 2-0-1.
BOYS GOLF—
Coldwater hosted the old SMAC East schools in a JV Jamboree Tuesday evening and finished in second place. Coldwater’s 179 was eight strokes behind Marshall’s 171. Coldwater was led by Noah Waterbury and Austin Butler who each had 42’s, Joe Hicks had a 47, Brendan Hanna shot a 48. Other Coldwater scores were Sam Westgate with a 54, Grey Skudlarick had a 57, Dillon Gagnon shot a 60, Kyle Kryzyanski carded a 62, and Carter Otto had a 79,
Coldwater’s Varsity returns to action on Wednesday traveling to Jackson to participate in the first league Jamboree hosted by Lumen Christi.
