UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Union City village officials announced Monday a change in the schedule for a planned power outage due to the North Broadway Street bridge construction project.
The planned power outages will now take place between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. this Friday morning and again next Friday, April 28 at the same time.
This is a change from the original date of April 25, 2017.
While village officials apologize for the frequent changes, they say it’s due to the cement beam manufacturer and it’s beyond the control of the village and the contractor doing the work. They say the schedule could change again and if it does, they will notify the public as soon as possible.
The areas affected will be the west side of North Broadway along with Ann, Thomas, Calhoun, North Park, Division, Charlotte and Barry Streets.
Also affected will be Walnut Lane, M-60, Tuttle Road, Blossom Road, Tuttle Park Drive, Oak Grove Park, Breezy Bluff and Smiths Landing.
The project is still scheduled to be finished by June 23, 2017.
If you have any questions, call the Union City Village Office at (517)741-8591.
