BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The City of Bronson is accepting sealed bids for the leasing of over 103 acres of farmland commonly known as “Schmid Farms” which can be accessed from Parham Road.
According to a statement posted on the city’s web site, the city does not own irrigation equipment currently on the site nor is there a well on site from which water is drawn for irrigation.
It goes on to say the city retains the right to develop the site and is actively marketing the land for the development of new industrial, commercial or residential prospects.
During the term of the lease, the City reserves the right to sell or otherwise develop the land.
Redevelopment will be coordinated to avoid the removal of planted crops between April 1 and October 15.
Proposals shall be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on February 5, 2025 and it is likely the lease will be awarded on February 10, 2025.
