BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – While schools and some governmental offices will be closed, one of the highlights of Good Friday in Branch County is the annual Way of the Cross Procession in Bronson. The event, which depicts the events leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, will begin at the First Congregational Church in Bronson at 3:00 p.m., ending at St Mary’s Catholic Church for a service at around 4:00 p.m.
All schools around the area are closed Friday. The Branch County Courthouse is also closed Friday, with the City of Coldwater and Coldwater Board of Public Utilities offices closing at 12 noon Friday.
Some area businesses will also be closed for a portion of the afternoon to allow employees to attend Good Friday church services.
