COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinal bowlers split with the Hastings Saxons on Thursday afternoon at Midway Lanes.
The Coldwater Varsity Girls won their match 23 to 7. The Cardinals took both regular games 802 to 744 and 807 to 660, taking totals 1,609 to 1,404. They split their Baker games, winning the first game 145 to 141, losing the 2nd game 162 to 178, and losing totals 307 to 319.
The Coldwater girls were led by Madison Shuler with a 186, Ashlyn Caswell rolled a 179 and Ashlyn Cleckner had a 169.
The Varsity boys had a hard fought contest, dropping their meet 17-13. They lost both regular games 856 to 926 and 853 to 934, losing totals 1,709 to 1,860. They bounced back to take both Baker games 174 to 159 and 204 to 177, taking totals 378 to 336.
The boys were led by Vinnie Beekman with games of 204 and 192, Ian Schindler a 206 and Zach Robison a 181.
The JV teams combined to take their match 16 to 14. The JV teams were led by Owen Blackman with games of 249 and 191.
Quincy’s match with Niles Brandywine was postponed. A make up date has not been announced.
