COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinal bowlers split with the Marshall Red Hawks in an Interstate 8 conference meet on Tuesday at Midway Lanes.
The Coldwater girls dropped a tough match 21-9, splitting the regular games, losing game one 667 to 749, winning game two 696 to 675 and losing totals 1,363 to 1,424.
They dropped both Baker games 192 to 127 and 177 to 136, losing totals 399 to 263.
The girls were led by Ashlyn Cleckner with a 169 game and Ashlyn Caswell a 159.
The boys avenged an early season loss by taking their meet 20 1/2 to 9 1/2. Coldwater took both regular games 880 to 867 and 875 to 830, taking totals 1,755 to 1,697. They split the Baker games, losing game one 201 to 153, winning game 2 186 to 172, dropping totals 373 to 339.
The boys were led by Vinnie Beekman with a 216 and a 195, Ian Schindler a 197 and Lennon Swick a 186.
The mixed J.V. team bowled against a short handed Marshall squad and won 24-2.
