COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater has a new Master Plan following its approval by the Coldwater City Council.
Randy Mielnik from the Monroe firm of Poggemeyer Design Group says one of the key recommendations centered around land use, including single family neighborhoods near downtown and the need to reevaluate zoning.
Other recommendations covered transportation. A proposed roundabout at State and Marshall was kept in the Master Plan but it was considered to be a low priority item. In addition, the extension of Anderson Drive to help relieve some of the congestion at East Chicago and Willowbrook was looked at.
It’s the first update of the Coldwater Master Plan since 2002.
