BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Applications are being accepted for scholarships available through funds held by local community foundations on behalf of LifeCare Ambulance Service.
The need for trained EMS personnel is said to be high and several area community colleges provide programs to help those interested in entering the field.
The scholarships assist individuals who are pursuing training to become a Medical First Responder, EMT, or Paramedic.
LifeCare Ambulance serves Branch County as well as Calhoun and Barry Counties as well as parts of Kalamazoo, St. Joseph and Cass Counties.

Completed applications are due by April 30, 2017. Scholarship winners will be notified in late May.
