BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Middle School Polar Bear swim team competed on Saturday at the MISCA State Meet at Battle Creek Lakeview.
Wyatt Lanning and Aubrey Eberts qualified in the 50, 100, 200 Freestyle, 50 Butterfly, 100 Individual Medley, and 100 Backstroke.
Everett Duff qualified in the 100 Individual Medley and 100 Breaststroke.
Redmond Hayes qualified in the 50 Butterfly.
Lanning made the podium finishing 8th in the 50 Free and also finished 13th in the 100 Backstroke.
The relay of Lanning, Duff, Hayes and Cael Fischer finished 17th in the 200 Medley relay.
Duff then finished 30th in the 100 Individual Medley and 27th in the 100 Breaststroke. Hayes finished 25th in the 50 Butterfly.
The relay of Fischer, Noah Kopkowski, Hayes and Duff finished 18th in the 200 Freestyle relay and the relay of Fischer, Kopkowski, Hayes and Lanning finished tenth in the 400 Freestyle relay.
In the afternoon, Eberts finished 26th in the 100 Freestyle and 22nd in the 200 Freestyle with a new middle school record.
