COLDWATER, MI (WTVB)- Old Man Winter is coming back to Michigan.
A storm system will cause rain and snow to fall over the next two days. Rain will arrive Wednesday afternoon and will become snow on Thursday.
There is a chance of snow in the forecast up until Friday morning when the weather is expected to start improving.
Any snow that falls will not stick around as highs are expected to be in the mid 40s in Branch County Friday before warming into the mid 50s Saturday and the mid 60s Sunday.
Hopefully, Old Man Winter will hit the road with highs staying in the 60s early next week.
While not much snow accumulation is expected around Branch County, forecasters say accumulation totals around Grand Rapids could reach three inches.
Strong winds are expected, with the strongest winds blowing near Lake Michigan.
Snow in April is not uncommon. You may recall Coldwater got a couple of inches of snow April 9, 2016.
