MENDON, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Orioles boys basketball team won their third straight game on Wednesday night as they defeated the Mendon Hornets 58-51.
It was a close and physical game right from the start.
The Orioles knocked down some big three point shots to pull ahead 26-25 at halftime.
The third quarter was back and forth with Quincy leading 38-35 heading into the final stanza.
Quincy got the win thanks in large part to their foul shooting as they went 19-for-20 at the line.
Brandon Miner led Quincy with 19 points while Ryan Kempter scored 13 points and Alex Dunn added nine points as the Orioles improved to 9-8.
Quincy’s J.V. team also won 59-18. Bryson Estlow had 13 points while Carson Haylett added 11 points, Joe Gray had nine points and Garrett Haylett had seven points. Caden Norris grabbed eight rebounds and had three steals.
