BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Due to a winter storm that was predicted to cause difficult driving conditions, the entire slate of Branch County high school sports was scrubbed for Wednesday night.
That included the M.H.S.A.A. Team Wrestling Division 4 Regional meet at Union City High School. The meet was rescheduled for 6:00 p.m. Thursday night with the host Union City Chargers facing Mendon and Springport battling Saranac in the semifinals.
The two winners will then meet in the regional final. The regional champion will advance to the M.H.S.A.A. Division 4 quarterfinals at the Wings Event Center next Friday, February 21.
The Quincy boys basketball home game with Climax-Scotts as well as the bowling matches with Bronson at Comstock and Quincy at Kalamazoo Hackett were all cancelled.
With the basketball and bowling regular seasons nearing the end, it’s unlikely those events will be rescheduled.
