It is with great sadness the family of Larry Joe Crabill, 62, announces that his larger than life spirit has moved on to brighter and beautiful new adventures.
Larry was born in Coldwater, Michigan November 7, 1962 and passed February 3, 2025 surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was a dual resident of Bronson, Michigan and Largo, Florida.
Larry was one of life’s great characters. His bright smile and mischievous twinkle made him a beloved figure among those who knew him. He had a big heart, was loved by many and fondly known by his friends as “Last Minute Larry”.
Larry loved the outdoors and anything to do with the water. Swimming, boating and fishing in the Gulf and mountain biking at Pokagon State Park. He also loved playing cards and golf with friends and had a keen eye for treasures at garage sales and flea markets.
Larry was a 1980 Graduate of Bronson High School where he participated in wrestling and football. He attended Western Michigan University for two years, when he decided that his path was to follow in his fathers footsteps in construction.
A master builder with a passion for restoring old homes, Larry worked alongside his brother Chris to transform neglected houses into beautiful residences throughout the Bronson and Coldwater areas. He took great pride in his craftsmanship, believing that when you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.
Larry is survived by his father, Northa Crabill; brothers Dan (Terry) Crabill and Chris Crabill; sister Kelley (Crabill) Jacobson; niece Angela (Justin) Chastain; nephew Jason (Stephanie) Crabill; great-nephews Zachary, Jaxsen, and Bodhi; and great-niece Cordelia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda (Greeley) Crabill.
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Larry’s memory will live on in the homes he restored and the hearts of those who loved him.
