BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Orioles celebrated Senior Night at the Coolest Gym in Michigan on Tuesday night with a 58-48 Big 8 Conference victory over Branch County rival Union City.
Union City jumped out to an early 8-14 lead but Quincy battled back and only trailed 27-26 at halftime.
A huge third quarter on both ends of the floor for Quincy propelled them to a 42-34 lead after three quarters. Braylon Estlow and Corey Turner knocked down some big free throws to seal the deal.
Brandon Miner led Quincy with 15 points while Turner added 12 points. Alex Dunn and Estlow each scored nine points.
Union City’s Aidan Decker scored a game-high 16 points. Jason Shoop had 11 points for the Chargers.
The Orioles are now 6-7 in the Big 8 and 11-9 overall while the Chargers drop to 13-7 overall and 8-5 in the Big 8.
Quincy won the J.V. game 53-51 thanks to an offensive rebound and put-back by Carson Haylett as time expired. Andrew Dunn and Garrett Haylett each scored 11 points for the Orioles.

Big 8 Conference champion Stockbridge defeated upset minded Bronson Vikings 70-63 in overtime on the Vikings home court Tuesday night.
Bronson led 42-34 at the half and 52-47 after three quarters before the Panthers started their comeback.
The Panthers used a 16-11 fourth quarter to tie the game. After the Vikings failed to score on their final possession of the fourth quarter, Stockbridge outscored Bronson 7-0 in overtime.
The Vikings are now 6-7 in the Big 8 and 10-11 overall.
